Welcome Note

Talking-Drums is the one and only repository of my thoughts. Some of these thoughts shall have been published elsewhere as I contribute to various media, electronic and print, on a regular basis.

There will also be an odd atempt at poetry now and again when the muse grants me her generosity.

My resolve to open an account of my thoughts is to give my thoughts wings to fly higher and further so that I can engage in the battles of idea that are raging around us. One of the South African tragedies, particularly afflicting black people, is that other people other than them are giving an account of their lives.

This tragedy has resulted in distortions and misrepresentations of black people in these accounts.

I haven`t been to the mountain top and descended majestically bearing the Ten Commandments like Moses and chapters of the Holy Q`uran like Prophet Muhammad (SAW) - I don`t hold the key to knowledge and wisdom. I wish I did, it would be a great idea if I did.

Being neither Moses nor Prophet Muhammad, I would appreaciate an engagement with those who may stray to this blog.

I look forward to a symphony of talking drums as we share and engage our thoughts.
